Yassssssssss!!! Who else has been anticipating December as much as I have? I’ve been in NYSC camp for the better part of November so yeah, I’m saying my ‘Happy New Month’ from here. I know I said I wasn’t posting this week but oh well, here I am. And here we finally are… Christmas month😁. I hope November was really great for you guys. Let me tell you how my November went… Starting with some of my goals for the month.
GOALS

  • Limit screen time
  • Learn something new everyday
  • Do more exercise
  • Volunteer

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Limited screen time

This more as a result of being in camp for the past few weeks. I had to leave my laptop at home. I’ve never left it for so long and it’s quite impossible to always be on your phone with soldiers literally breathing down your neck every minute. Either ways, I achieved that.

  • Learn something new everyday:

I worked on learning something new almost everyday this month and you guys wouldn’t believe how exciting it was. Maybe one day I would do a post on that. You should try it too.

  • Did more exercise.

When you’re in NYSC camp, you really have no option.

  • Volunteer.

This NYSC is volunteering abeg. 😭
WHAT I’M GRATEFUL FOR

  • The few people I know in this camp.

I don’t know how I would have started coping without them. I love you guys so much.

  • Good health:

It’s so easy for this place to put anybody in a terrible state of health. People have had to go home because of their health but somehow I’ve not gotten even a little ill and I’m thankful for that.

  • The opportunity to serve:

Even though I don’t really like this place, I’m grateful for the opportunity to have this experience. You’ll be hearing all about it definitely.

  • Readers! Readers! Readers!

I’m always grateful for all of you. Thank you for being so amazing.
Moving on..  So this month had me…
Obsessed with:
My new baby. Yess! I got a new clarinet and it’s my babbbyyyy! Oh yeah I play the clarinet just in case you didn’t know. Issa multi talented baby girl✌✌. Anyways, right now, it still is my greatest obsession.

Excited about:
Going home next week! I really can’t wait to be home again. These past 2 weeks have been so hectic but I guess I’m getting used to it already.
Proud of:
Myself. For making it this far. So many people said they couldn’t keep up  again and they packed their bags and left but I’ve stayed this long and I’m so proud of myself for that. Oh and I attempted the man o’ war gadgets at the man o’war village here in camp. It was such an exciting experience and even though I ended up with a busted lip, I’m still really proud of myself😁✌.

Sad that:
I’m still in this camp. To be honest, I can’t wait for going-home day😭.
Craving:
Home food. I really want food fromno] my house pot 😭😭. The food here can be discouraging sometimes😏.
Challenged by:

  • Man o’ war gadgets.

I almost didn’t do it. I had actually skipped some gadgets but then I thought ‘why not?’ And so I went on to do others and it was fun though challenging. My hair got caught in the barbed wire during the endurance crawl and so much more. I will make another post on this definitely.

  • Posting on the blog despite camp activities.

It’s challenging but challenges are good for growth.
Improved on:
Knowing when to speak up and when not to. I’ve met so many different kinds of people here and at some points I was actually surprised at myself that I let some things go. Thank God for the Holy Spirit.
What worked
Facing challenges head on instead of shying away. NYSC camp, man o’ war, posting on the blog despite camp activities. I decided to to just go ahead and do it and it’s working for me✌.
What didn’t work
Running away from things that challenged me. Did me no good. At all.
What would I do better?
Find the silver lining in every cloud.
My December wish
Yes, my November wish came true, I was posted somewhere close by. This month’s wish is to get a good PPA (Place of primary assignment for NYSC) and I hope I do.
3 Important lessons I learnt in November

  • Welcome challenges and make the best of them.
  • Find the silver lining in every cloud that comes your way.
  • Keep pressing on. Be persistent. Be consistent.

Thank you so much for reading guysss. How did your month go? I always want to hear about it. Please share with me in the comments section. Can’t wait to read them😁😁. Have a great month amazing people. I know I would – right after I leave this camp😁. Don’t forget to learn something new everyday and let me know how it goes.
Much love 😍
